About The Position

The Senior Industrial Power Systems Engineer in Corporate Advanced Engineering is responsible for conceiving, developing, implementing, and evaluating technologies for bringing power into facilities, including transformers and power-conversion steps. The role serves as a technical authority in architecting power delivery solutions for large facilities such as data centers. Work is system-oriented and focuses on longer-horizon growth areas, collaborating with BorgWarner business units and external technology partners. The position is part of the Chief Technology Officer organization and is based at the Auburn Hills Propulsion Technology Center. The engineer leads and contributes to projects involving industrial power systems and industrial power generation, conversion, and storage. Activities span technology assessment, architecture, simulations, physical testing, advanced development, risk management, market and technology research, reporting, and customer engagement. The role also represents the organization in cross-enterprise initiatives and participates in diligence for potential business or technology acquisitions. Occasional overnight domestic and international travel is required.
