About The Position

The Senior Industrial Electrical Estimator prepares accurate, competitive, and comprehensive electrical estimates and proposals for industrial construction projects. The role involves reviewing electrical drawings, specifications, and Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) to understand project scope, identify electrical and instrumentation requirements, and develop complete labor and material estimates. The ideal candidate has industrial electrical estimating experience; experience supporting industrial water/wastewater projects is strongly preferred. The position is primarily office or hybrid, with occasional travel to construction sites, pre-bid meetings, customer meetings, and project locations. Site visits may involve variable weather and exposure to noise, dust, uneven surfaces, and other construction-related hazards. Employees must follow applicable safety regulations, PPE requirements, and Loenbro EH&S policies.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of electrical estimating experience.
• At least 3 years of industrial electrical estimating experience.
• Ability to work independently on $10 million industrial electrical estimates.
• Strong understanding of electrical estimating, including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and indirect costs.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical drawings, one-lines, plans, and specifications.
• Understanding of electrical and instrumentation scope associated with industrial facilities.
• Strong understanding of electrical construction means, methods, materials, and labor requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines.
• Experience visiting operating industrial facilities for pre-bid meetings.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with industrial water/wastewater projects.
• Experience with industrial mining, manufacturing, and other industrial process facilities.
• Experience leading estimating teams.
• Experience leading large industrial electrical estimates of $10 million–$20 million or more.
• Experience with AccuBid Classic or similar electrical estimating software.
• Ability to develop complete and accurate electrical estimates from bid documents.
• Experience soliciting and evaluating vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Experience creating comprehensive estimate proposals.
• Experience developing or training electrical estimators.
• Experience parsing estimate information into complex customer bid forms using Microsoft Excel.
• Experience attending customer meetings and effectively communicating estimate and project information.
