Senior Immigration Attorney (8+ yrs)
About The Position
Phillips Lytle is seeking to hire a senior attorney with eight or more years of experience to join its Immigration Practice Team. This role will support the national practice by handling the complexities of visa and permanent residency applications for U.S. companies and their foreign national workforce. The practice serves high-profile clients, including Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 companies, across various industries such as telecommunications, technology, energy, nanotechnology, manufacturing, healthcare, and life sciences. Requirements
- Eight or more years of experience in immigration law.
- Deep knowledge of U.S. immigration laws, regulations, and policies.
- Superior written, oral, and analytic abilities.

Responsibilities
- Handling the complexities of visa and permanent residency applications on behalf of U.S. companies and their foreign national workforce.
- Managing employment-based green cards.
- Managing employment-based non-immigrant visas, including H-1Bs, L-1s, O-1s, E-1, E-2, E-3.
- Handling matters arising under the U.S. Mexico-Canada America (USMCA) Free Trade Agreement (TNs).
- Managing other laws governing ports of entry to the United States.
- Providing advisory and other services.
- Managing client deliverables.
- Preparing foreign nationals for visa and consulate interviews.
- Responding to audits.
- Providing I-9 guidance.
- Dealing with federal administrative court matters.
- Resolving border problems.
- Preparing relevant filings.
- Mentoring and supervising junior lawyers and specialized paralegals.
