About The Position

A high-volume, fast-paced immigration law firm is seeking an Immigration Attorney with at least 3 years of immigration law experience. The position is available full-time or contract, depending on the candidate’s availability and background. The attorney will help individuals and families navigate the U.S. immigration process by preparing and filing immigration matters, communicating with clients, staying current on immigration laws and regulations, and representing clients at interviews or appointments before relevant agencies and immigration courts for non-litigation appearances.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active bar license in Virginia or Maryland in good standing.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in immigration law.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage case deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Technological proficiency, including experience with immigration law platforms and case management systems.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual skills, especially Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file family-based and employment-based petitions and applications.
• Prepare and file Adjustment of Status applications.
• Prepare and file naturalization and citizenship applications.
• Prepare and file NACARA, TPS, asylum, and waiver matters.
• Prepare and file immigrant and non-immigrant visa matters.
• Prepare and file PERM, EB-5, and H-1B matters.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of immigration laws and regulations.
• Communicate with clients to gather documentation and provide updates.
• Prepare for and represent clients in interviews or appointments before USCIS, ICE, CBP, and Immigration Courts for non-litigation appearances.
