Senior Immigration Attorney (8+ yrs)
About The Position
Phillips Lytle is seeking to expand its Immigration Practice by hiring a senior attorney in Buffalo, NY. This role will support a national practice and requires extensive experience in handling complex visa and permanent residency applications for U.S. companies and their foreign national workforce. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, written, and oral communication skills, a deep understanding of U.S. immigration laws, and the ability to manage client deliverables, prepare foreign nationals for interviews, handle audits, provide I-9 guidance, manage federal administrative court matters, resolve border issues, and prepare necessary filings. Requirements
- Eight or more years of experience in immigration law.
- Superior written, oral, and analytic abilities.
- Deep knowledge of U.S. immigration laws, regulations, and policies.

Responsibilities
- Handling the complexities of visa and permanent residency applications on behalf of U.S. companies and their foreign national workforce.
- Managing employment-based green cards.
- Managing employment-based non-immigrant visas, including H-1Bs, L-1s, O-1s, E-1, E-2, E-3, and matters arising under the U.S. Mexico-Canada America (USMCA) Free Trade Agreement (TNs) or other laws governing ports of entry to the United States.
- Providing advisory and other services.
- Managing client deliverables.
- Preparing foreign nationals for visa and consulate interviews.
- Responding to audits.
- Providing I-9 guidance.
- Dealing with federal administrative court matters.
- Resolving border problems.
- Preparing relevant filings.
- Mentoring and supervising junior lawyers and specialized paralegals.
