Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered
  • 3+ years of HR or HR operations experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of HR administration, employee records, benefits, leave administration, onboarding, I-9 compliance, workers' compensation coordination, HR systems, payroll support, and employment compliance requirements
  • Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements with consistency and sound judgment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, HRIS systems, reporting tools, and related HR technology
  • Experience supporting multi-location or distributed teams preferred
  • PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar HR certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a resource to employees and supervisors regarding company policies, handbook interpretation, benefits, leave administration, onboarding, employment documentation, and general HR processes
  • Supporting employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, new hire orientation, employment documentation, and Form I-9 compliance
  • Administering benefits processes, including enrollments, qualifying life events, status changes, terminations, and open enrollment support
  • Coordinating leave administration, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, personal leaves of absence, workers' compensation coordination, and applicable state leave requirements
  • Assisting with workers' compensation claims and partnering with employees, supervisors, carriers, and vendors throughout the process
  • Maintaining employee records, HR documentation, and HRIS data while supporting audits, reporting, and compliance efforts
  • Providing payroll backup support and assisting with employee data validation and payroll-related documentation
  • Managing HR-related invoices and supporting timely processing and approvals
  • Monitoring HR inboxes and responding to employee inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Supporting LMS administration, training compliance, and HR-related reporting
  • Maintaining HR policies, procedures, forms, handbook materials, and compliance documentation
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and enhance the employee experience
  • Partnering with leaders and cross-functional teams on HR initiatives, employee engagement activities, and special projects
  • Staying current on HR best practices, employment law updates, and industry trends
