About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Human Resources Business Partner for our First Quality Home Care Products division to support locations in Salt Lake City, UT, Archbold, OH, Trumbull, CT, and Concord, Ontario. This role will partner with various functional areas, including Manufacturing Operations, Engineering, Product Development/R&D, Sales/Marketing, Finance, and Procurement, to develop and implement people strategies. These strategies will encompass talent management and development, succession planning, talent acquisition/retention, and change management for all team members within these functional areas.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Up to 40% travel, especially to assist with the start-up location in OH.

Responsibilities

  • Understand key business fundamentals, competitive forces, and business expansion opportunities, and drive the HR components crucial for success.
  • As a member of the HR and functional leadership teams, understand top business issues, strategies, and objectives, and how Human Resources contributes to total business improvement.
  • Lead the HR team for the Home Care Products Division, building capability to attract, train, and retain a skilled workforce.
  • Develop and implement talent acquisition plans to support business unit growth, with a focus on recruiting hourly personnel for the new Ohio location.
  • Develop and implement talent retention plans to support business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain employee engagement programs.
  • Develop and implement talent management and development processes and training plans to create internal capability for sustained growth.
  • Build and maintain a succession planning model to meet current growth needs and achieve mid- and long-term objectives.
  • Establish an internal candidate pool for future leaders as part of developing the newest business unit.
  • Expand the existing training and development program into a more robust and strategic part of the business.
  • Provide HR metrics and analysis (dashboards) to senior management for timely and accurate data support.
  • Manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as turnover, absenteeism, overtime, headcount, skill improvement, and promotions.
  • Lead HR continuous improvement activities to achieve process changes, cost savings, and cost reductions.
  • Ensure communication and change management programs support effective employee engagement towards excellent safety, quality, cost, and efficiency expectations.
  • Provide change leadership to continuously improve culture.
  • Serve as an employee advocate while balancing the role of an internal business partner.
  • Monitor employment practices and decisions to ensure fair and ethical practices that foster effective employee relations, reduce turnover, and promote high employee morale and engagement.
  • Partner with other colleagues on the organization’s HRLT on programs related to HRIS, Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, and Performance Management.
