About The Position

This role is for a Sr. Human Resources Generalist to support the Escalon manufacturing location. The position offers autonomy to drive people initiatives, including shaping efficient structures, crafting talent pipelines, and executing people strategies. The mission is to champion people development, revolutionize talent pipelines, optimize organizational efficiency, and lead change management efforts. This role focuses on driving cultural transformation to achieve goals related to people, cost, and customer service. The position supports a seasonal tomato processing and canning operation with approximately 150 year-round employees and an additional 500 seasonal employees during peak season. This is a Union Site and requires onsite presence Monday-Friday, and potentially Saturdays during Harvest Season.

Requirements

  • 5+ Years of Experience as a Human Resources Business Partner supporting employees within a manufacturing, distribution, retail, or hospitality environment.
  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Strong eye for business, project management, and technical proficiency in workplace technology and systems (eg. Workday, Kronos, MS Office Suite, etc)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and other key customers influencing through data and insights
  • Excellent organization and time management skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, leading change through others.
  • Adaptability – Maintaining effectiveness in the face of changing priorities and tasks, ability to manage multiple assignments.

  • Manage employee & labor relations by investigating, resolving, and communicating employee questions, issues, concerns, and grievances, and sets union labor strategy for the facility.
