About The Position

Octagon is seeking a Senior Hospitality Director for a Payment Services client. This role is responsible for overseeing an Americas Hospitality Calendar of events associated with the client's property partnerships. The position emphasizes project management, global events, and product/service integrations. It is ideal for someone inspired by working in a team environment with diverse backgrounds and seeking to work in sports marketing and sponsorship consulting with a finance client. The role requires strong skills in Executive/B2B hosting hospitality, leadership in hospitality delivery, project management, asset utilization, and agency integration. Experience in Motorsports, Golf, and Entertainment hospitality, along with a customer-centric and socially savvy mindset, is preferred.

Requirements

  • 7–10-year(s) work experience in hospitality or experiential marketing
  • Proven experience managing VIP and executive groups
  • Strong leadership presence, with the ability to communicate concisely, persuasively and effectively, across multiple mediums
  • People leader invested in the success of the team
  • History of building positive relationships, both internally and externally
  • Proactive, critical thinker who thrives when the pressure is on

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel domestically and internationally, and work weekends or holidays as needed
  • Spanish speaker required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working internationally or as part of a global team
  • First-hand experience working at a major event such as Formula 1, Olympics, FIFA World Cup etc.
  • Portuguese is a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a reliable agency contact for client sponsorship, internal client departments and agency partners
  • Oversee Americas Hospitality Programming (Canada, US & LATAM) for sponsorships across multiple geographic regions and events
  • Oversee Americas Hospitality Programming for Motorsports, Golf and Entertainment properties
  • Collaborate with the Americas team managing the multiple properties’ team relationship
  • Serve as the client liaison for Americas/B2B Hospitality and Product Service Integration
  • Manage an Americas based team to plan and execute high profiled B2C/B2B events
  • Integrate client’s products and services into sponsorship programs
  • Serve as an experiential expert to ideate on innovative ways to convey client messaging through events and hospitality
  • Oversee B2B programming and Executive onsite management
  • Manage finance trackers, budgets, and program reconciliations
  • Develop sales decks and presentations to be presented to internal and external audiences
  • Support the agency experiences team as a key member of the hosting and hospitality vertical, bringing new insights and ideas to an evolving industry
