About The Position

YOTEL New York is seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Group Sales Manager to join our team. The Senior Group Sales Manager leads the hotel’s group sales strategy with a focus on securing high-value group business across corporate, association, incentive, and leisure markets. This role is responsible for achieving revenue targets, building long-term client relationships. As a senior team member, the position requires strategic thinking, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to drive results while ensuring alignment with brand standards and service excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or business management, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive hotel sales experience, with proven success in group sales.
  • Strong background in corporate, association, leisure and incentive group markets.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate complex contracts and achieve revenue goals.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to coach and support a sales team.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and presentation abilities.
  • Proficiency in sales software, OPERA systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel for client visits and industry events.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales plans to maximize group room nights revenue.
  • Lead client development initiatives through direct sales calls, trade shows, roadshows, and networking.
  • Negotiate and finalize group contracts, ensuring profitability and risk mitigation.
  • Manage key accounts and establish partnerships with corporate, association, leasure, and incentive travel clients.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and business performance to adjust strategies.
  • Maintain accurate forecasts, pipeline reports, and data.
  • Represent the hotel at industry events, trade fairs, and sales missions both locally and internationally.
