About The Position

The Senior Group Manager, Regional Sales Planning is responsible for creating and managing monthly regional sales plans for each of Hyundai Motor America's (HMA) 7 regions. This role is crucial in developing regional sales plans to effectively measure and track regional sales achievement, inventory availability/pipeline, and profitability. The development of regional carflows by model for each region will serve as the foundation for regions to track product availability to achieve regional sales and profit targets. Strong business acumen is critical for coordinating and communicating with various stakeholders, including Finance, HMNA Production Planning, Distribution, and the regions. Success in this role requires sophisticated process and project management skills, as well as strong analytical, communication, and process documentation skills.

Requirements

  • Must be a high school graduate
  • 10-12 years of similar experience in a complex organization conducting planning, sales analysis, vehicle distribution, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to provide robust and substantiated recommendations.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and set priorities.
  • Ability to assess operational and strategic strengths/weaknesses and make recommendations to leverage or augment.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills across diverse groups including regional staff, Finance, Executives, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with regions to develop sales plans that maximize performance and profitability.
  • Analyze regional carflows, adapt to demand changes, and align incentives with profit goals.
  • Monitor wholesale/retail sales vs. plan; recommend supply adjustments to match demand.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Production Planning, Distribution, and Regional Sales to address risks/opportunities.
  • Train teams on SPOS regional carflow system; continuously improve accuracy with HAEA systems.
  • Partner with National Sales Operations to set annual targets (sales, share, wholesale, profitability).
  • Report regional sales performance, inventory, and pipeline status to executive leadership.
  • Drive profit optimization through timelines, tracking, and performance management.
  • Conduct “what-if” scenario planning with Finance and National Planning to capture opportunities.
  • Recommend regional volume allocations to optimize national sales and profitability.
  • Serve as operational SME for regional sales rundowns, reporting, and coordination.
  • Provide detailed analysis and allocation recommendations by region to maximize sales outcomes.
  • Influence enterprise profitability through data-driven allocation decisions impacting millions in revenue.
