Manage accounts to achieve guest satisfaction and to solicit past and new business to ensure all revenue goals are achieved or exceeded. Responsible for soliciting new group sales accounts, entertaining, and maintaining relationships with existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals in rooms, food, beverage, and room rental. This role involves maximizing revenue by selling all facets of the hotel, both orally and in written form to previous, current, and potential clients. The Senior Group Sales Manager will handle account details so that all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented, and coordinate various departments’ participation in servicing accounts. The role also requires developing and conducting persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients, and preparing information for, meeting with, and entertaining clients as deemed appropriate by potential business from that account. Communication, both verbally and in writing, is key to providing clear direction to all departments in the hotel to ensure a high quality of service to customers. The position involves preparing correspondence to customers, internal booking reports, and file maintenance, as well as participating in daily business review meetings, pre-convention meetings, training, and other sales-related meetings as required. Attendance at trade shows, community events, and industry meetings is also expected. A strong understanding of market trends, competition, and key customers of the hotel is essential. The role requires compliance with attendance rules and availability to work on a regular basis, and performing any other job-related duties as assigned.
