Reporting to the AVP of Finance/Controller, the Senior General Ledger Accountant plays a key role in the month-end close and financial reporting for a fiscal sponsor nonprofit organization with more than $150 million in annual revenue. The position prepares and reviews journal entries, reconciles balance sheet accounts, maintains supporting schedules, and resolves discrepancies to ensure timely and accurate financial statements. The Senior Accountant also supports external audits and Form 990 preparation, assists with grant reconciliations and closeouts, and collaborates across Grants, Financial Services, People & Culture, Fiscal Sponsorship, and Intermediary Programs to improve accounting processes, strengthen internal controls, and promote compliance.
