About The Position

BAE Systems is seeking a Senior GCCS-M Technician to operate and maintain GCCS-M hardware and software and perform cybersecurity functions in a research, development, test, and evaluation (RDT&E) environment. The technician will install, configure, test, and diagnose hardware and software in a dynamic setting where configurations frequently change to support the RDT&E mission. The role ensures GCCS-M is functional, secure, and configured to approved specifications for test and training events. Work is performed at the Surface Combat Systems Center (SCSC) in Wallops Island, Virginia, which provides AEGIS and Ship Self-Defense System (SSDS) combat systems for engineering, testing, training, and certification.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ten years of relevant experience.
Willingness and ability to work a variety of 40-hour weekly schedules, including first- or second-shift schedules, variable four-day schedules that may include weekends, and sliding Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday schedules; schedules may rotate to meet mission requirements.
Willingness to comply with DoD 8140 training requirements.

Nice To Haves

A related U.S. Navy NEC.
Experience with U.S. Navy AEGIS and/or SSDS systems.
Windows, Linux, and/or Cisco certifications.
DoD 8140 foundational training.
