About the position
As a (Senior) Game Analyst at Wooga, you will be responsible for analyzing large-scale data to generate insightful metrics and deep dive analyses that measure performance. Your role will involve identifying key insights to inform product improvements and business strategy, as well as developing an analysis strategy and performing complex scenario analysis and AB-tests. You will collaborate with product, engineering, and service teams to provide an analytics perspective and deliver actionable insights. Additionally, you will partner with key stakeholders across the company and work with data science and data engineering teams to gather and democratize data.
Responsibilities
- Analyze large-scale data across player touch points to generate insightful metrics, custom dashboards, and deep dive analyses
- Measure performance and inform product improvements and business strategy based on key insights from data analysis
- Define measurement and monitoring strategies for the product and its features
- Develop an analysis strategy and perform analysis of complex scenarios and AB-tests
- Provide an analytics perspective and engage with product, engineering, and service team members
- Build and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders to deliver actionable insights
- Collaborate with Data Science and Data Engineering on data gathering, governance, and reporting
- Debug and problem solve to ensure accurate and clear analysis and reports
- Translate business needs to technical requirements and collaborate with development teams for implementation and tracking
- Communicate actionable results and findings derived from data throughout the organization in a clear and concise manner.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Computer Science, CIS/MIS, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or relevant field
- Recent experience in a business analyst role, preferably in the app industry or related field
- Proficiency in SQL and understanding of commonly applied statistical techniques
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze consumer behavior and data
- Familiarity with market trends, player patterns, and customer understanding
- Knowledge of monetization design and analytical understanding of what makes a game great
- Ability to design, communicate, visualize, and report analysis results clearly and unambiguously
- Nice to have: Experience in the games industry
- Nice to have: Understanding of behavioral psychology
- Nice to have: Robust understanding of advanced statistical techniques for skewed populations
- Nice to have: Experience in predictive analytics, segmentation, and related areas
- Nice to have: Skills with reporting tools such as Periscope, Tableau, Mode
