About The Position

ADP is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Developer to join its development team in Roseland, New Jersey, in a hybrid arrangement with three days onsite. The developer will independently contribute to the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of enterprise web applications used by internal and external clients. The work includes applications currently in production and spans frontend and backend development, databases, cloud technologies, and DevOps practices. The developer will work within a scrum team on three-week sprints, beginning each day with a scrum to coordinate priorities and select user stories. Most of the workday is spent developing and testing code, with participation in agile ceremonies such as sprint demos and release activities every three weeks. The role also includes testing and deployment, occasional client support for urgent production issues on an assigned support day, and collaboration and knowledge-sharing with other developers. The developer may provide technical guidance and support to junior team members. The role uses Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, Angular, React, Oracle SQL, AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines. It also involves integrating AI and Generative AI capabilities into business applications. The successful candidate is eager to learn, take on stretch assignments, and adapt to sprints that may focus on frontend, backend, or both.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
At least 5 years of hands-on software development experience.
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, software development principles, and design patterns.
Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, Angular, React, and Oracle SQL.
Experience with Git, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD practices.
Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, and cloud-native application development.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Experience mentoring and managing teams.
Experience with frontend, scripting, and backend technologies.

Nice To Haves

Experience with microservices architecture.
Knowledge of Azure OpenAI, ChatGPT APIs, or other AI platforms.
Experience working in cloud-native environments.
Familiarity with containerization and DevOps best practices.
Experience integrating third-party APIs and enterprise systems.
Experience with Oracle ERP.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain web applications.
Develop REST APIs and backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Node.js.
Build responsive user interfaces using Angular and React.
Develop and optimize database queries, procedures, and integrations using Oracle SQL.
Deploy and manage applications in AWS and Kubernetes environments.
Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
Integrate AI and Generative AI capabilities into business applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions.
Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members when needed.
Participate in daily scrum meetings and other agile ceremonies, including sprint demos; select user stories and communicate coding priorities.
Work in three-week sprints, meeting timelines and coding standards.
Test code before submitting it to QA and participate in deployment activities.
Participate in release activities every three weeks.
Attend developer lunch-and-learn sessions to share ideas and learning.
Provide support for urgent client issues on an assigned support day, if assigned.
