About The Position

Develops, tests, deploys, troubleshoots, and maintains full-stack web applications for Delta Dental of Kentucky and its affiliates and subsidiaries. Participates throughout the software development life cycle, collaborating with technical and business stakeholders to deliver secure, reliable, and maintainable solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 1+ years of professional software development experience contributing to the successful delivery and support of software applications for internal and/or external customers across multiple release cycles.
• Front-end and user-interface development experience.
• Experience applying professional software engineering practices across the software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, application security, source control, build processes, testing, deployment, and DevOps.
• Hands-on development experience with C#, ASP.NET, .NET 6 or later, Entity Framework Core, relational databases, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience designing or consuming Web APIs and building responsive web applications.
• Experience with React, Blazor, or a comparable front-end framework.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues clearly, document work, and collaborate with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with both React and Blazor.
• Experience working in a PCI, HIPAA, or other regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Develops and supports assigned software applications for Delta Dental of Kentucky and its affiliates and subsidiaries, working with senior team members as needed.
• Collaborates with business users and external partners to clarify requirements, identify constraints, and translate approved requirements into technical solutions.
• Collaborates with lead and senior developers on solution design and independently implements well-defined features, enhancements, and defect corrections.
• Investigates and resolves application incidents and defects, documenting root causes and corrective actions when appropriate.
• Identifies and communicates potential application risks, follows secure development practices, and complies with applicable security standards and organizational policies.
• Creates user-friendly interfaces used by internal and external customers.
• Creates and maintains automated unit and integration tests, prepares test data, and supports end users during acceptance testing and validation.
• Develops and maintains technical, operational, and user documentation for assigned applications, including configuration, deployment, support, and troubleshooting information.
• Participates in on-call rotation and provides occasional after-hours application support.
