About The Position

Nebius is hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer to build how developers and AI agents access its agentic web infrastructure. The role is based in the New York office and is hybrid with the NYC team. The engineer will work on customer-facing APIs used by millions of developers and AI agents, collaborating with product, design, and engineering teams across R&D. The team owns the main API gateway, customer platform features for keys, usage, and teams, identity and enterprise SSO, and public interfaces including SDKs, CLI, MCP servers, and other developer and agent tools. The role covers end-to-end feature development, API gateway reliability and performance, usage and billing interfaces, self-service onboarding, identity and access management, feature controls, and improvements to developer-facing interfaces and documentation.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of full-stack engineering experience on customer-facing products or high-throughput APIs, with experience in any mix of frontend and backend.
  • Strong backend engineering skills, ideally in Python; Go, C++ or C experience combined with some Python experience is also suitable.
  • Experience building and operating latency-sensitive, high-QPS APIs, including caching, asynchronous work, queues, retries, rate limiting, long-running jobs, and webhooks.
  • Experience shipping production UI with a modern frontend framework such as React, Next.js, or TanStack, ideally using TypeScript.
  • Experience building data-heavy interfaces such as tables, charts, and filters that remain fast.
  • Ability to ramp up quickly in a complex, mature user-facing codebase, ship safely under real traffic, and participate in on-call operations.
  • Strong product and design sense for interfaces and APIs.
  • Ability to take work from design through production, explain trade-offs clearly to partners, navigate ambiguity, and use AI tools in development.

Nice To Haves

  • Led a project or mentored others.
  • Taken a product from 0 to launch.
  • Built API-key issuance and lifecycle capabilities.
  • Built MCP servers or tools for AI agents.
  • Worked on billing or usage metering with Stripe, Metronome, Orb, or similar.

Responsibilities

  • Design and ship features end to end, from the interface to the services and data behind it.
  • Build and improve a high-traffic, low-latency, reliable API gateway.
  • Turn usage, billing, and team data into fast, usable interfaces, including tables, charts, filters, and forms.
  • Shape the self-serve journey from signup through activation.
  • Build and operate identity and team access in production, including OAuth and OIDC, role-based access, SAML SSO, and SCIM.
  • Control feature availability through staged-rollout feature flags and post-rollout entitlements.
  • Improve public interfaces developers and agents use, including SDKs, CLI, MCP servers, and documentation.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation.
  • Career growth and learning opportunities.
  • Flexibility and ownership.
  • Collaborative and innovative culture.
  • Opportunity to work on impactful AI projects.
  • International environment and talented teams.
