Part time Sr. Software Engineer

GeoVisual Analytics
•Remote

About The Position

GeoVisual Analytics builds custom software and analytics solutions for the fresh produce supply chain and related businesses, focusing on AI implementation and modernization. The company is seeking a senior full stack engineer on a contract basis to deliver client work and build its platform. The role is fully remote, offers flexible hours and time zone, and is expected to require 20–30 hours per week. The initial contract is 3–6 months, with the intent to extend, at $85 per hour. The engineer will design, build, and maintain frontend and backend systems; lead projects from beginning to end, including work with initially undefined requirements; integrate platforms with clients’ cloud and AI infrastructure; and collaborate with business teams to turn workflows into software. The role also involves implementing secure authentication, access controls, and data governance for sensitive data, and delivering reliable software with testing, CI/CD, deployment, and observability practices. The engineer will refine features using real-world usage and feedback. The technology stack includes TypeScript, Node.js, Python, Next.js, React, Tailwind CSS, Radix UI, NestJS, FastAPI, Supabase/Postgres, Firebase/Firestore and Cloud Functions, Drizzle ORM, Typesense, dbt, mapping and machine-learning tools, monorepo tooling, hosting and infrastructure platforms, Docker, GitHub Actions, monitoring and feature-management tools, and testing and code-quality tools. Experience with every listed tool is not required; equivalent tools count, and the company notes that smaller pieces are quick to learn. Applicants should send a resume and a few sentences describing a project shipped end to end, including what they built and what they would do differently. GitHub or portfolio links are welcome.
