About The Position

Optiveum is recruiting and contracting a Senior Frontend Developer to join a project for a German digital bank, delivered together with a large international IT services company. The role focuses on developing the bank’s core digital customer onboarding platform, which supports end-to-end account-opening journeys involving automated verification, multi-step applicant scoring, and integrations with external risk, compliance, and identity providers, including Pega workflows and biometric KYC services.

The position is full-time and 100% remote from Poland; candidates must live in Poland. Occasional travel to Germany is very rare and optional in almost all cases. The engagement is B2B, at a rate of 125–130 PLN per hour. The planned start is mid-November or early December 2026. The initial contract runs through 31 December 2026, with a likely extension through the end of 2027. The client may require up to 10 days of unpaid Mandatory Time Away per year, usually over the Christmas break. Recruitment includes two interviews, and the selected candidate will complete a one-time online identity check using a government-issued photo ID before starting.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of commercial experience as a Senior Frontend Developer.
• Hands-on commercial experience with both Vue.js and Next.js.
• Strong TypeScript and JavaScript skills.
• A track record of building complex multi-step forms and asynchronous user journeys.
• Fluent English.
• Must live in Poland.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance the bank’s customer onboarding platform using Vue.js, Next.js, and TypeScript.
• Build complex, state-driven multi-step forms and asynchronous user journeys.
• Refactor and improve workflows to handle third-party service latency, outages, and timeouts gracefully.
• Build asynchronous fallback and retry mechanisms that prevent user-facing errors and keep application state consistent.
