About The Position

As a Senior Front End Developer focused on single-page applications, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams on multiple accounts to deliver high-quality technical solutions. The role also helps establish a broader vision and path for continued adoption of modern development practices across teams. You will execute technical solutions on time and on budget, help drive effective user experiences through technology, and promote common standards and best practices across the front-end team.

The position involves developing enterprise Next.js and React solutions, including data, display, information architecture, and third-party platform integrations. You will also implement platform-specific solutions and SDKs, and use core framework functionality, community modules, and custom modules that follow community coding standards.

Requirements

• Three or more years of experience.
• Thorough understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle, including requirements, design, development, and testing, and exposure to Agile or iterative SDLCs.
• Expertise in application and business logic, API and service integration, consuming user-interface code, and working with user-interface developers.
• Expertise in JavaScript, React or similar libraries/frameworks, Node, and front-end application development.
• Expertise with front-end tooling and package management, such as Webpack, npm, and Gulp.
• Competence in HTML and CSS.
• Competence in semantic and accessible applications and presentation.
• Experience working with WCAG 2.x AA guidelines and implementation.
• Experience with version control tools such as Git and industry-standard branching and merging practices.
• B.S. or B.A., or equivalent work experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate calmly and rationally with technical and non-technical peers.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Horizontal Digital and/or client and project management teams, tech leads, architects, developers, and designers on enterprise Next.js and React solutions.
• Implement solutions involving data, display, information architecture, and third-party platform integrations.
• Implement platform-specific solutions and SDKs involving Next.js and React, particularly Sitecore and Drupal, and potentially Contentful and Vercel.
• Implement project specifications using Next.js and React core functionality, community modules, and custom-developed modules that adhere to community coding standards.
• Identify technologies, frameworks, and processes that enhance the delivery of cutting-edge customer solutions.
• Help drive effective user experiences through technology and promote common standards and best practices across the front-end team.
