About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Flightline Readiness Technical Inspector to join our dynamic team in Mesa, AZ. Position Responsibilities: Performs highly complex pre-flight inspection of aircraft systems and components for conformance to operational and safety standards Leads advanced pre-flight and post-flight checks through thorough inspection of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and avionics systems Leads the identification of complex issues or nonconformances affecting flight readiness and identifies resolutions for highly complex matters Rechecks work after highly complex maintenance or repair Leads preparing aircraft for flight and Airworthiness Certification Provides guidance on maintaining inspection logs and writing inspection reports

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications
  • 3+ year of experience with Production Flight Test inspection or technical inspection experience in accordance with DAPAM 738-751 on an Army aircraft
  • Experience or training in applying shop math
  • Able and willing to work in confined spaces
  • Must be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime.
  • Some positions may also be rotating shifts
  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
