About The Position

Tempur Sealy is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their team. This role involves assisting in financial forecasting and budgeting, performing detailed analyses of key performance indicators, and partnering with operations and other functional departments to ensure financial targets are met. The analyst will build and maintain strong relationships with site operations leaders and other financial analysts, support business decisions through variance analysis, and provide actionable insights to improve performance. The position requires an understanding of cost accounting and productivity reporting systems, auditing vendor payables, and performing other assigned duties. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and organizational skills, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, manage multiple priorities, and work independently with a strong attention to detail.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics or accounting.
  • 3+ years of operations finance experience, with strong knowledge of financial and non-financial metrics, LEAN manufacturing, labor analysis, productivity analysis and product costing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels; team player.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative and time management.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Power BI, AX and D365 is a plus.
  • Manufacturing, Warehouse, Supply Chain or Logistics industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of the “bottom-up” monthly forecast and annual budget.
  • Perform detailed analyses to identify, analyze, understand and monitor the Company’s key performance indicators.
  • Partner with operations as it relates to day-to-day operational management in accordance with the organization’s finance policies and procedures.
  • Effectively work with other functional departments to ensure that the departmental expenses will not exceed forecasted targets.
  • Direct relationship for creating and maintaining strong relationships and collaboration with site operations leaders and SFAs at other sites.
  • Support business using variance analysis to identify opportunities and implement action plans to improve forecast accuracy, cost savings, profit enhancement and efficiency.
  • Analyze financial results, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to improve performance.
  • Understand systems used in cost accounting and productivity reporting to be able to assess accuracy.
  • Audit vendor payables for accuracy and ensure appropriate approvals are obtained prior to payment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
