About The Position

Provide financial leadership across Operational Finance and General & Administrative (G&A) functions. Depending on business needs, may support Operational Finance activities, lead G&A finance functions, or both. As a strategic business partner to Financial Managers, senior leadership, and project operations leaders, this role leads financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and complex financial analysis activities. The goal is to deliver actionable insights, support informed decision-making, and identify opportunities to enhance operational performance, improve profitability, optimize margins, increase financial efficiency, and support cost optimization initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • Minimum of 6 years of related experience in accounting, financial analysis, operational finance, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Demonstrate leadership skills with ability to mentor and delegate responsibilities
  • Advanced analytical skills to assess financial data, interpret trends, and identify inconsistencies
  • Understand cash flow management and working capital optimization principles
  • Experience driving process improvement, operational efficiency, and reporting enhancements
  • Ability to implement innovative technologies (e.g., Artificial Intelligence (AI)) and guide teams to adopt changes
  • Ability to implement and support policies, procedures, and internal controls that ensure compliance and minimize financial risk
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, independent decision-making, and ability to resolve complex financial and operational matters
  • Ability to build relationships with stakeholders and work across functions and organizational levels
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills with ability to explain financial concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and accurate with ability to managing concurrent multiple tasks and meet deadlines for self and team

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred or commitment to pursue
  • Knowledge of International Accounting Standards (IAS), Federal Acquisition Regulation System (FARS), Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), and Internal Revenue Service (IRS) regulations preferred
  • Construction or related industry experience, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting activities for assigned profit centers, business locations, and/or General & Administrative (G&A) functions.
  • Manage and review complex account analyses, reconciliations, and month-end close activities to confirm financial accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
  • Analyze financial trends, risks, and key performance drivers to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, forecasts, analysis, and actionable insights to Financial Managers and Operational leadership. Conduct ad-hoc analysis as requested.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to educate Finance and Operations teams on departmental processes and updates to policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Oversee Financial outputs to ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and external regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits and contribute to financial risk management efforts.
  • Foster high-performing Finance team through leadership, training, coaching, mentoring, and identifying employee development opportunities.
  • Provide performance feedback and contribute to annual performance evaluations and talent development initiatives, using talent management systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement of financial processes, systems, analytics, and reporting, including use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) enabled tools to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and decision support.
  • Collaborate effectively with Finance, Operations, and corporate stakeholders to support cross-functional initiatives and business objectives.
  • Engage with external organizations to maintain industry knowledge and represent company.

  • Partner with Financial Managers to support financial reporting and analysis for assigned profit centers, business locations, and business segments.
  • Lead or support profit planning, forecasting, project reviews, and profitability improvement initiatives through analysis of operational and financial performance trends to enhance business performance, optimize margins, and mitigate operational risk.
  • Review and validate cost reports for accurate, complete, and timely financial status reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support cash management and working capital initiatives.
  • Lead development and ongoing management of G&A budgets and forecasts for assigned offices, regions, or support functions.
  • Perform detailed G&A variance, cost driver, and overhead analysis to identify cost optimization opportunities.
  • Lead and support G&A standardization, reporting enhancement, and cost efficiency initiatives.
  • Develop and present G&A financial reports and dashboards to leadership.
