•$85,280 - $115,128

About The Position

The Senior Financial Analyst applies accounting principles to a portfolio of sponsored research awards. The role processes cost transfers; manages award receivables and cash receipts; opens and closes award accounts; and reconciles award activity to the general ledger. The analyst prepares sponsor draws, invoices, and financial reports; reviews charges for compliance with OMB Uniform Guidance and sponsor terms and conditions; and assists with effort reporting and subrecipient monitoring. The position requires knowledge of the Center’s general financial accounting systems, the ability to work independently, and the ability to guide junior analysts. The role processes and reconciles monthly general ledger data, maintains costing tables and overhead allocations, and helps develop and distribute scheduled and ad hoc financial and statistical reports. It compiles financial information and prepares and explains reports from Workday, using software such as spreadsheets, statistical packages, and graphics applications to present data clearly. The analyst manages operational activities that support timely administration of information and charges to appropriate accounts, provides account-status information to leadership, administrators, and external parties, and works with other departments to resolve issues and meet deadlines. Working under broad direction, the Senior Financial Analyst may provide work direction or supervision to Financial Analyst-level staff, design or conduct staff training, and take on complex or specialized analysis and problem-solving where no clear precedent exists. The role also completes assigned special projects and maintains confidentiality of departmental, clinic, and patient information. This is a sedentary position with close attention to work, variable daily tasks, and no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions. It has no patient contact. The organization requires staff to be vaccinated against influenza as a condition of employment.
