Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, analytics, or a related field
  • 2-5 years relevant experience
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with large datasets and financial systems.
  • Strong analytical judgment with the ability to translate numbers into clear, actionable insights.
  • Strong communication and project management skills; able to partner effectively across Finance and Operations.

Nice To Haves

  • Medicare Advantage/health plan experience (claims, capitation, or Part D)

Responsibilities

  • Create monthly performance reporting (P&L, utilization, spend trends, gainshare/risk results) with clear storylines and recommendations.
  • Own facility-level risk agreement calculations and incentive reporting; ensure accuracy, transparency, and on-time delivery.
  • Lead monthly capitation and membership reconciliation with Finance and Operations; investigate variances and resolve issues.
  • Analyze claims, accruals, high cost/denied claims, and key cost drivers; explain results to both technical and non-technical partners.
  • Own Part D funds-flow documentation (revenue sources, accrual methodology, operational levers) and support performance discussions with leaders.
  • Track recoveries/recoupments and support internal/external audits; coordinate vendor data for accurate accounting and prefunding.
  • Support budgeting/forecasting and CMS deliverables (MLR filing, Medicare Bid); build/maintain reporting with Data Ops and create executive-ready summaries and ad hoc analysis.
  • Contribute to budgeting and forecasting and prepare executive-ready materials (summaries, decks, and KPIs).
