Senior Financial Analyst

RokuDenver, CO
Hybrid

About The Position

Roku's FP&A team is looking for a Sr. Financial Analyst to own the financial planning, reporting, and forecasting for Frndly TV, a Roku owned and operated streaming service. You'll be the primary finance partner for the Frndly TV business — building the models, tracking performance, and delivering the analysis that drives decisions on subscriber growth, content economics, and profitability. This role will evolve as AI transforms financial analysis. We want someone who's excited about that — not just comfortable with new tools, but eager to rethink how FP&A work gets done. If you're the kind of person who automates the repetitive stuff so you can spend more time on the work that actually matters, you'll thrive here.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or a related analytical role
  • Strong financial modeling skills — you're fluent in Excel and comfortable building models from scratch
  • Experience with variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting processes
  • Clear communicator who can translate numbers into business insights for non-finance audiences
  • Intellectually curious — you dig into the "why" behind the numbers, not just the "what"
  • Self-directed and comfortable with ambiguity; this is a growing business with evolving scope
  • Genuine interest in how AI and automation are changing knowledge work — you don't need to be an expert, but you should be experimenting
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in media, streaming, or subscription-based businesses
  • Familiarity with tools beyond Excel — SQL, BI platforms (Looker, Tableau), or financial planning software (e.g., Anaplan)
  • Exposure to subscriber/cohort economics or customer lifetime value analysis

Responsibilities

  • Own the financial forecasting and budgeting process for Frndly TV, including revenue, subscriber metrics, content costs, and operating expenses
  • Deliver monthly and quarterly variance analyses — explain what happened, why it matters, and what to do about it
  • Build and maintain financial models that inform pricing, content investment, and growth strategy decisions
  • Conduct ROI analyses on proposed initiatives, translating business cases into clear financial frameworks.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Product, Content, Marketing) to provide financial perspective and support strategic planning
  • Identify ways to improve the speed, accuracy, and usefulness of financial reporting — including leveraging AI and automation tools to streamline workflows
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership with clarity and confidence

Benefits

  • Global access to mental health and financial wellness support and resources
  • Local benefits include statutory and voluntary benefits which may include healthcare (medical, dental, and vision)
  • Life, accident, disability, commuter, and retirement options (401(k)/pension)
  • Time off work for vacation and other personal reasons to balance their evolving work and life needs
