About The Position

WePlanet is seeking a Senior Finance Officer (part-time) to enhance its financial planning and analysis capabilities. This role is crucial for supporting the organization's growth phase by strengthening financial modeling, forecasting, and planning systems. The position focuses on forward-looking financial modeling, cashflow forecasting, grant financial planning, and financial risk monitoring. It operates within a small central finance team, collaborating with leadership, grants, and external accounting providers. This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Secretary General, with no direct reports. The Senior Finance Officer will provide leadership with the financial insights necessary for strategic planning, including hiring, grant management, and long-term sustainability. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys building financial models, translating financial data into strategic insights, and contributing to decision-making in a small, distributed organization. The position is remote, part-time (approximately 0.4 FTE or 15 hours per week), and offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Workload may be heavier during the initial setup phase and lighter once systems are embedded. Applications close on May 24, 2026, but the vacancy may close earlier if sufficient suitable applications are received.
