Senior Environmental Services / Housekeeping - FT Evening
About The Position
Sanford Health is seeking Housekeepers, Janitors, and Custodians for a fast-paced hospital environment. This is a 64-hour per pay period Discharge team ARU relief position in EVS. The role involves supporting the day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring staff have necessary equipment and supplies, responding to service requests, assisting with training, performing minor equipment maintenance, covering sick calls, and aiding with quality assurance inspections and project work. The primary goal is to maintain facilities in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner according to current standards. This role may involve access to medication storage areas and internal software applications. Attendance at all required trainings is necessary to stay updated on developments in the field.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to use computer.
- Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills are required.
- Yearly certifications will be required if assigned to AORN terminal cleaning of invasive procedure room.
- Yearly certification will be required if assigned to pharmacy rooms per 797 standards.
Nice To Haves
- Prior cleaning experience is helpful.
- Knowledge of materials, equipment, cleaning methods and cleaning chemicals is helpful.
- Previous custodial experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day operation of the environmental services department.

- Respond to service requests.

- Attend all required trainings for position and department.

- Perform pharmacy room cleaning per 797 standards if assigned.
