About The Position

The Senior Engineering role leads a team of power system engineers performing modeling and NERC technical studies for clients. The position includes client account management, support for business development, project management, and development of direct reports. The engineer performs advanced and specialized power grid studies using industry-standard analysis platforms and helps deliver high-quality client projects on time and within budget. The role is remote in the United States or Canada, with occasional travel of 10% or less.

Requirements

• Proficiency in at least one power system analysis software platform: PSSE, PSCAD, TSAT, or PSLF.
• Bachelor of Science or higher in Electrical Engineering with a power systems emphasis.
• A wide range of experience with ERCOT modeling requirements and procedures.
• At least 3 years of experience beyond degree requirements.
• Proven knowledge of power system and IBR modeling.
• Ability to work as a team player and build and maintain internal and external relationships.
• Strong organizational and written and verbal communication skills, particularly when explaining technical matters.

Responsibilities

• Ensure projects are completed on time while meeting quality and budget objectives.
• Interact with clients to gather input and address needs and concerns regarding project study scopes of work.
• Develop the capabilities of engineers on the team and across the organization.
• Perform advanced and specialized power grid studies using PSS/e, PLSF, TSAT, and PSCAD.
• Lead process-improvement efforts to improve organizational efficiency and maximize team bandwidth while maintaining the quality and timeliness of client deliverables.
• Support business development, including preparing RFP responses and client scopes of work that outline EPE deliverables and projected completion dates.
