About The Position

Bloom Energy is hiring a Senior Staff Engineer to conduct computational fluid dynamics (CFD) work supporting next-generation product development. The role focuses on accelerating and improving model predictions by integrating data and AI tools with physics-based modeling. The engineer will work in a fast-paced environment, provide timely and accurate predictions, and guide product development from concept through production. The role is fully onsite in San Jose, California, and reports to the Sr. Director, Development Engineering.

Requirements

MS or PhD in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
Deep understanding of fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and CFD fundamentals.
At least 3 years of industry experience utilizing CFD.
High skill with CFD tools such as ANSYS Fluent or Star-CCM+.
Ability to use first principles for quick calculations and CFD models.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver them in a timely manner.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Self-starter and quick learner.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with Python and data analysis tools.
