About The Position

Patreon is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Infrastructure team. This team is responsible for Patreon's infrastructure, with the mission to keep the engineering organization fast and reliable. The role involves owning the roadmap and execution across the platform, balancing reliability work with investments to improve engineer efficiency. This position is open to fully remote candidates or those who prefer a hybrid model, working in the office 3 days per week in New York or San Francisco.

Requirements

10+ years of engineering experience.
5+ years in engineering management, ideally with experience managing managers or senior ICs across multiple teams.
Direct experience leading infrastructure, platform, or developer-productivity teams supporting a consumer product at scale.
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP), Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code tooling.
Comfort operating scalable production systems with high availability and performance requirements.

Nice To Haves

Experience standing up or scaling developer tooling (CI/CD, testing platforms, internal dev environments).
Exposure to AI-assisted software development.
Direct experience rolling out AI coding tools/agents at an organizational level, including adoption metrics and guardrails.

Responsibilities

Manage and grow Individual Contributors (ICs); own hiring, performance, and career development for your organization.
Own operational excellence, including observability standards, on-call structure, incident response, SLAs/SLOs, and Production Readiness Reviews (PRR).
Partner closely with Product Engineering, Security, and Data leaders to ensure infrastructure and tooling decisions do not impede product delivery.
