Senior Engineering Manager

We are seeking a highly-motivated and results-oriented Engineering Manager (Senior) to lead our development teams and oversee all engineering aspects of our product ecosystem. This includes product development, enhancements, maintenance, and support. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the engineering teams, focusing on throughput, quality, extensibility/sustainability, usability, predictability, and velocity. They will also need to navigate complexity and customer customizations effectively. This position requires overlap with our US team and the ability to work within specific hours.

• Lead, hire, develop, manage, and retain engineering team members
• Establish and refine processes to maximize engineering efficiency
• Oversee and track team/individual performances and team OKRs / KPIs
• Collaborate with Product, QA, and Technical Configuration Specialist teams
• Work with team to engineer technical solutions and improve software quality
• Collaborate with technical leadership to set engineering team strategy and goals
• Lead daily stand-ups, remove barriers, and resolve impediments as Scrum Master
• Manage JIRA and ensure accurate ticket creation and backlog maintenance
• Standardize and oversee maintenance of documentation of Engineering products and codebase
• Create and update onboarding materials for new engineers
• Prepare and give presentations on Engineering progress with metrics at company meetings
• Support the Just Appraised culture and foster leadership within the company

• Ability to establish and refine processes to maximize engineering efficiency
• Experience in tracking team and individual performances and setting team OKRs/KPIs
• Collaboration with Product, QA, and Technical Configuration Specialist teams
• Ability to engineer technical solutions and drive project execution
• Scrum Master experience, leading daily stand-ups and resolving impediments
• Proficiency in managing JIRA and maintaining documentation
• Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate engineering progress with metrics

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate team members and effectively manage team priorities
• Strong communication skills with experience addressing a variety of stakeholders, including senior team members, cross-functional teams, and non-technical teams
• Proficiency with JSON, Python, Javascript & version control tools like Git
• Fluency with programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, or similar languages
• Attention to detail, strong organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Ability to work effectively in teams of technical and highly non-technical individuals
• Skill and comfort working in a rapidly changing environment
• Demonstrated ability to continuously learn, work independently, and make decisions with minimal supervision
• Open collaboration and individual voices
• Bachelor’s degree in fields such as Computer Science, Economics, Biology, Statistics, Psychology, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics (Nice to have)
• Proficiency with data structures, databases, SQL (Nice to have)
