About The Position

The Senior Engineer is a senior technical contributor on the Robotics & Computer Vision team at GE Vernova Advanced Research. The role develops robotics, autonomy, and intelligent-system technologies supporting decarbonization, electrification, and renewable energy. Working with Advanced Research, GE Vernova businesses, U.S. government agencies, and external collaborators, the engineer helps shape and execute research and development programs from concept through prototyping, validation, technical leadership, and transition into real-world applications. This hands-on, interdisciplinary role contributes technical expertise across robotics system design, autonomy, perception, manipulation, integration, and human–robot interaction. The engineer helps shape technical vision, intellectual property strategy, and external research opportunities, while building prototypes and validating technologies for industrial and energy-related challenges. The position also involves cross-functional and external collaboration, technical mentorship, proposal development, communication of results, and support for the transition of research technologies into product, manufacturing, or field environments. The position is on-site at GE Vernova Advanced Research in Niskayuna, New York. Relocation assistance is provided.
