About The Position

Holder Construction is seeking a Senior Engineer to join its MEP team on a project in Hampton, Georgia. This is a full-time, in-person position supporting commercial projects within the company’s core markets. The role involves coordinating with vendors, design engineers, clients, and subcontractors; procuring electrical and mechanical subcontracts and equipment; managing contracts and deliverables from bid solicitation through award; coordinating equipment submittals; and assisting with construction cost estimates.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, construction management, a relevant field, or relevant experience.
At least 5 years of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing preconstruction experience.
Ability to read and understand electrical, HVAC, plumbing, architectural, and civil plans and specifications.
Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of MEP systems and equipment.
Good communication skills.
Ability to identify and resolve issues.
Ability to participate effectively in a team environment.
Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks.

Responsibilities

Communicate with electrical and mechanical equipment vendors, design engineers, clients, and subcontractors.
Procure electrical and mechanical subcontracts and equipment, managing contracts and deliverables from bid solicitation through contract award.
Coordinate equipment submittals.
Assist with electrical, mechanical, and overall construction cost estimates.
Support commercial projects within core markets, ensuring effective coordination and execution.
