About the position
We are seeking a curious, driven, and accomplished technology leader to join our team at Songfinch. As a Senior Engineer, you will play a key role in our Technology organization, working closely with product, design, marketing, and business partners. Your responsibilities will include owning key projects for Customer Engagement, contributing to the entire software development life cycle, and shaping the creative vision of our rapidly growing business. With a focus on delivering our core mission across all channels and touchpoints, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact and witness the direct results of your work.
Responsibilities
- Partner with various departments (marketing, product, operations) to scale engineering velocity and accomplish customer engagement product goals
- Launch new product experiences and connect reporting and analytics loops
- Own technical architecture decisions for the Marketing Technologies stack and drive projects to production
- Deliver successful marketing campaigns using new product and platform APIs and features
- Assist in hiring process and decisions across technology to grow the department by 200%
- Support the mission of delivering millions of dollars to artists
- Create a highly emotive experience for customers
- Represent company values in daily actions, both externally and internally
- Have 7+ years of industry experience in customer-facing frontend or fullstack development roles
- Have 5+ years of experience with e-commerce or user behavior tracking systems
- Have experience building and delivering personalized customer-facing experiences
- Have the ability to own development projects and technical architecture
Requirements
- 7+ years of industry experience in customer facing frontend driven or fullstack development roles
- Experience in e-commerce or other consumer facing products
- 5+ years of experience working with e-commerce, CDPs, or other user behavior tracking conversion driven systems
- Ability to own development projects and draft technical architecture
- Experience in building and delivering engaging and personalized customer facing experiences
- Ability to participate in product scoping efforts with non-technical teams
- Strong technical skills in Vue.js, Rails, Python, K8s, Segment, CustomerIO, Amplitude, Blender, and Zendesk
- Familiarity with Heroku and AWS deployment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work closely with product, design, marketing, and business partners
- Passion for music and the mission of the company
