Senior Electrical Systems Engineer

As a Senior Electrical Systems Engineer at Fox Robotics, you will be responsible for contributing to the development and documentation of a safe and reliable drive by wire forklift. Your role will involve working on various aspects of electrical systems, including harness design and PCB layout. You will collaborate with a small team to create and refine new designs, ensuring their successful implementation in the production process. Strong circuit design understanding, proficiency in PCB layout tools, and excellent troubleshooting skills are essential for this role. Additionally, experience in reading and writing electrical schematics and strong communication skills are required.

• Develop the design and supporting documentation for a safe and reliable drive by wire forklift
• Work with systems ranging from harness design to laying out PCBs
• Create and refine new designs individually or in a small team
• Work with manufacturing engineering to see designs through to production
• Resolve any issues that arise in the production process
• Understand circuit design
• Proficiency in PCB layout tool, such as Altium
• Utilize troubleshooting skills using tools such as a multimeter or oscilloscope
• Read and write electrical schematics
• Have strong communication skills
• Have experience with warehousing and automation (nice to have)
• Have experience with embedded software development (e.g. C, C++) (nice to have)
• Familiarity with circuit board fabrication: through-hole and surface mount soldering (nice to have)

• 4+ years of experience with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Strong understanding of circuit design
• Proficiency in PCB layout tool, such as Altium
• Strong troubleshooting skills using tools such as a multimeter or oscilloscope
• Experience reading and writing electrical schematics
• Strong communication skills
