About The Position

NVIDIA is seeking a Datacenter Product Engineer to help launch new systems for its HGX GPU-accelerated server platforms. These purpose-built systems support deep learning, artificial intelligence, and analytics environments. The engineer will apply knowledge of system architectures and GPU technology to productize GPU boards for datacenter architectures and GPU-accelerated clusters. The role includes planning and establishing processes, defining test requirements, optimizing production lines, and helping meet cost and quality targets. The position is based in Houston, Texas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 8 years of meaningful industry experience.
  • Strong electrical-engineering fundamentals and knowledge of digital design, signal integrity, statistics, timing analysis, fault analysis, sampling, and computer architecture.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior board- or system-level electrical design experience.
  • Experience with Perl, C/C++, Windows, and Linux.

Responsibilities

  • Use experience with high-speed networks and signals to plan and develop diagnostic tests and debug procedures for next-generation products.
  • Debug complex interactions between hardware, firmware, and software on faulty boards using knowledge of system power-up and boot handshakes.
  • Recommend, drive, and ensure compliance with design-for-excellence requirements for robust signal-integrity performance, including layout, mechanical components, and assembly procedures.
  • Develop and deliver system-level manufacturing test specifications for new products to meet hardware coverage, quality, and product requirements.
  • Collaborate with contract manufacturers to define product assembly lines, test-station counts, and assembly-fixture counts, optimizing cost and efficiency.
  • Develop solutions and work-around requests through volume-data analysis and lab experimentation to address yield and test problems.
  • Lead optimization and continuous-improvement efforts for production-screen specifications to minimize waste and meet test-time, yield, and DPPM requirements.
  • Support customer-facing and quality teams in addressing partner concerns, understanding issues, and closing identified coverage gaps.
