About The Position

NVIDIA is seeking a Datacenter Product Engineer to help launch HGX GPU Accelerated Server Platforms into production. These purpose-built systems support Deep Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Analytics environments. The role applies knowledge of system architectures and GPU technology to productize GPU boards for datacenter architectures and GPU-accelerated clusters. It includes planning and establishing production processes, defining test requirements, optimizing production lines, and helping achieve cost and quality objectives. The position is based in Houston, Texas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 8 years of meaningful industry experience.
  • Strong electrical engineering fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of digital design, signal integrity, statistics, timing analysis, fault analysis, sampling, and computer architecture.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior board- or system-level electrical design experience.
  • Experience with Perl, C/C++, Windows, and Linux.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and develop diagnostic tests and debug procedures for next-generation products using expertise in high-speed networks and signals.
  • Debug complex hardware, firmware, and software interactions on faulty boards, including system power-up and boot handshakes.
  • Recommend, drive, and ensure compliance with DFx requirements for robust signal-integrity performance across layout, mechanical components, and assembly procedures.
  • Develop and deliver system-level manufacturing test specifications for new products that meet hardware coverage, quality, and product requirements.
  • Collaborate with contract manufacturers to define product assembly lines, test-station counts, and assembly-fixture counts, optimizing cost and efficiency.
  • Use volume-data analysis and laboratory experimentation to develop solutions and resolve yield and test problems.
  • Lead production-screen specification optimization and continuous-improvement efforts to minimize waste and meet test-time, yield, and DPPM requirements.
  • Support customer-facing and quality teams with partner concerns by investigating issues and addressing coverage gaps.
