About The Position

The Senior Electrical Engineer serves as the site technical subject matter expert for electrical power infrastructure, ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of high-, medium-, and low-voltage distribution systems. The role provides engineering oversight for utility services, substations, transformers, switchgear, protective relays, circuit breakers, grounding systems, emergency power systems, generators, automatic transfer switches, and uninterruptible power supplies. It leads infrastructure planning, capacity assessments, system studies, reliability improvements, and long-term strategies for capacity, redundancy, equipment lifecycle, spare parts, and business continuity. The position provides technical leadership for electrical safety and code compliance, supports the site arc-flash program, and oversees shutdowns, switching operations, electrical lockout/tagout, troubleshooting, and power restoration. It develops preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, reviews thermal imaging surveys, coordinates condition-based maintenance, investigates equipment failures and power-quality events, and manages critical electrical spare parts. The engineer leads electrical infrastructure and facilities capital projects from planning and design through procurement, construction, commissioning, acceptance, and turnover. This includes preparing scopes, specifications, estimates, and bid evaluations; reviewing designs and submittals; coordinating consultants and contractors; scheduling outages and construction phasing; inspecting work; and maintaining project records. The role collaborates with utilities, consultants, contractors, equipment manufacturers, authorities, HSE, Facilities, and manufacturing engineering.
