About The Position

As a Senior Educator at Goodstart Glass House Mountains, you will take ownership of your room and lead a team of Educators to deliver high-quality learning experiences that support children's growth, development, and wellbeing. Working closely with the Centre Leadership Team and Educational Leader, you will guide best practice, mentor educators, and create safe, supportive environments where every child is inspired to learn. Goodstart Glass House Mountains is a community-focused early learning centre with natural outdoor learning environments, welcoming spaces for children at different stages, and a collaborative team culture. The centre emphasises play-based learning, continuous improvement, and an inclusive environment where children, families, and educators feel valued and connected. It is conveniently located in the local community with access and parking. This is a permanent full-time position. Pay is up to $43.00 per hour plus superannuation, with above-award wages and additional benefits. The role is based in Glass House Mountains, Queensland, on the traditional lands of the Kabi Kabi (Gubbi Gubbi) Peoples.

Requirements

Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or an ACECQA-approved equivalent.
Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).
Current Queensland Working with Children Check.
Passion for mentoring educators and delivering high-quality outcomes for children.

Responsibilities

Lead and support a team of Educators.
Deliver engaging, play-based educational programs.
Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
Support continuous improvement and quality educational outcomes.
Foster safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environments.
Mentor educators and help guide best practice in collaboration with the Centre Leadership Team and Educational Leader.
