About The Position

ADP is hiring a Senior Director, Strategy to partner closely with ADP executives in creating and continually improving the company’s overall strategy. The role leads strategic initiatives focused on growth opportunities and operational enhancements, and works with executives on the ongoing execution of those initiatives. The position reports to the DVP of Strategy and Business Development and is based in ADP’s Roseland, New Jersey office.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience developing and evaluating strategies, including identifying and framing issues, developing hypotheses, conducting market research and analyses to test key hypotheses, and developing execution plans.
• At least 7 years of experience in a strategy consulting firm or an internal corporate strategy role within a Fortune 500 company, having achieved at least team manager level.

Nice To Haves

• MBA and/or advanced degree preferred.
• Knowledge of the business services, enterprise software, or human capital management market preferred.
• Comfort reading and using financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Strong analytical skills, including financial modeling, basic statistics, and regression analyses.
• Strong problem-solving ability, including independently addressing ambiguous problems, developing a framework or methodology, and formulating a hypothesis or solution.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to influence senior leader stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams.
• Ability to think and act at the senior level.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and drive long-term strategies based on fact-based analyses, focusing on growth opportunities and operational initiatives.
• Conduct in-depth market assessments to identify opportunities and risks.
• Partner with functions and businesses to build strategies and successfully implement solutions.
• Work closely with ADP executives on the ongoing execution of strategic initiatives.
