About The Position

The Sr. Director of Sales Planning and Operations is a high-impact leadership role responsible for the end-to-end integration of retail planning and sales support. This position serves as the critical link between sales execution and supply chain efficiency, overseeing all aspects of the Sales Planning, Account Services, and B2B operations to support Kontoor’s financial objectives. The Sr. Director leads the development of retailer style- and color-level POS and receipt plans, ensuring accurate demand signals to optimize sales and inventory management.

Requirements

  • 10 Years Sales Planning Leadership: Has led multi-channel sales/retail planning teams.
  • BS/BA in Business Management, Operations, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting to senior leadership; Strong ability to influence cross-functional partners.
  • Proven success in strategic planning and decision-making for large-scale retail accounts.
  • Advanced math and analytical skills with a keen command of numbers; Expertise in Microsoft Office and planning systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of sales plans and annual forecasts to support financial goals.
  • Works with Sales, Merchandising, and Demand/Production Planning to determine Risk and Opportunities.
  • Communicates with Finance to restate forecasts monthly.
  • Oversee style/color-level POS and receipt-planning activities for key accounts to ensure highly accurate demand signals.
  • Leads teams in adapting processes, systems, and approaches to improve functional areas and the brand’s ability to meet customer and consumer needs.
  • Provide direct leadership and development for the Sales Planning and Account Services teams, overseeing a total organization of salaried professionals and analysts.
  • Act as a primary liaison between Sales, Merchandising, Replenishment, and Supply Planning to ensure consensus on key business initiatives.
  • Communicate developing issues to the senior leadership team and advise on corrective actions to protect brand goals.
  • Oversee the management of the B2B site, including account approval & pricing.
  • Responsible for all internal templates and materials used by Sales – including Financial Reviews, Account Reviews, MBR / QBR template, Open-to-Buy, and Seasonal reporting.
  • Coordinate with the appropriate business partners on Sales Meetings, WNFR, and Trade shows.
