Senior Director of Marketing 2026

ENFOS, Inc.•Chicago, IL

About The Position

ENFOS is seeking a Senior Director of Marketing to establish the company as a leader in Environmental Obligation Management. This role involves building a demand engine, generating qualified pipeline for enterprise sales, and defining the company's market positioning. The position requires a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, with the opportunity to build a marketing function from the ground up in a growing SaaS company. The ideal candidate will leverage AI-augmented workflows and tools to maximize output. The company has a strong foundation with established customer trust, a product addressing a critical need for large industrial enterprises, and the chance to shape an emerging category. The target customer profile (ICP) is well-defined, the product is defensible, and the market timing is opportune due to increasing regulatory scrutiny on Environmental Obligations.

  • At least 5 years of experience in enterprise SaaS.
  • Demonstrated experience building a marketing function or demand generation program from the ground up.
  • Proven track record driving pipeline and revenue contribution in long, complex enterprise sales cycles.
  • Comfort operating in high ambiguity with minimal infrastructure, defining processes and building tools.
  • Fluency with AI tools as a force multiplier.
  • Experience defining and executing ABM programs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience defining or shaping a category, or establishing differentiated positioning in a nascent market.
  • Experience in bootstrapped or capital-efficient environments.
  • Hands-on experience with HubSpot and adjacent GTM tooling (ABM platforms, intent data, prospecting data enrichment, etc.).
  • Background in regulated industries like financial services, energy, or industrial manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with technical accounting concepts: ASC 410, IAS 37, financial reserves, audit processes, or GAAP/IFRS reporting frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Build and run the demand engine, with marketing-sourced pipeline as the primary metric.
  • Design and execute full-funnel new logo campaigns targeting Fortune 500 industrial enterprises.
  • Monitor and act on trigger events and buying indicators to prioritize accounts and engage prospects.
  • Partner with Customer Success on expansion pipeline and customer marketing.
  • Create messaging calibrated to CFOs, Controllers, and CAOs, focusing on technical accounting concepts.
  • Establish the ENFOS web presence, content program, and SEO/AEO/GEO strategies from scratch.
  • Own funnel conversion rates, pipeline velocity, and customer acquisition cost.
  • Operate in alignment with the sales team, sharing success metrics like win rates and pipeline velocity.
  • Define and drive the Environmental Obligation Management category narrative externally.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting Solutions Manager to produce thought leadership on Environmental Obligation governance and technical accounting.
  • Develop ROI frameworks and case studies to quantify customer impact.
  • Bring new products to market by translating technical capabilities into financial and operational language.
  • Develop sales enablement materials for complex enterprise conversations.
  • Shape the GTM tech stack, advising on tools and standing up the operational infrastructure.
  • Design and implement the attribution model to connect marketing activities to revenue outcomes.
  • Define the funnel, establish baseline metrics, model conversion rates, and build reporting infrastructure.
  • Evaluate and recommend additions to the marketing tech stack (ABM, intent data, outbound tools).
  • Build AI-augmented workflows for content creation, persona research, personalization, and campaign optimization.
  • Manage the marketing budget with full ROI accountability and transparent reporting.
