About The Position

The Senior Director of Information Technology leads the enterprise Information Technology function within Etnyre International’s broader Information Services strategy. Reporting to the Executive Vice President of Supply Chain, IT & Strategy, this role is accountable for the strategy, security, resilience, performance, and modernization of the company’s technology environment across all locations. This leader serves as a senior technology advisor to executive leadership, translating complex technology risks, investments, architecture decisions, and operational performance into clear business language. The Senior Director defines and executes a multi-year IT strategy and roadmap that balances operational stability with modernization, cybersecurity, ERP value realization, acquisition integration, and the technology capabilities required to support continued enterprise growth. The role leads through senior managers responsible for End User Services & Infrastructure and Enterprise Services, while establishing clear service ownership, decision rights, performance measures, and leadership accountability across the IT organization. The Senior Director also partners closely with Etnyre Digital Solutions to ensure that artificial intelligence, automation, analytics, and other emerging capabilities are supported by secure, scalable, well-governed enterprise platforms. This is a transformation leadership role. Success will be measured not by technology activity alone, but by business continuity, risk reduction, service performance, adoption, simplification, value realization, and the development of a high-performing IT leadership team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline required.
  • 15+ years of progressive enterprise IT experience, including significant leadership responsibility across infrastructure, enterprise applications, cybersecurity, service delivery, and transformation.
  • 7+ years of people-leadership experience with demonstrated success leading through managers, senior technical leaders, and distributed or multi-site teams.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing multi-year IT strategies, technology roadmaps, investment portfolios, and major transformation initiatives.
  • Demonstrated responsibility for IT budgets, strategic vendors, managed-service partners, and enterprise technology investments.
  • Direct, accountable leadership experience building, materially maturing, or governing an enterprise cybersecurity program—not solely participating as a technical contributor.
  • Demonstrated experience operationalizing recognized security frameworks and control models such as NIST, CIS Critical Security Controls, ISO 27001/27002, CMMC, or comparable standards.
  • Proven experience leading cyber incident response and crisis management, including executive communication, external incident-response coordination, recovery, and post-incident improvement.
  • Strong working knowledge of modern identity and privileged-access controls, vulnerability management, network and cloud security, endpoint security, security monitoring, third-party risk, backup resilience, and recovery architecture.
  • Experience leading enterprise modernization of Microsoft environments, including Azure, Microsoft 365, identity, endpoint management, collaboration, and security architecture.
  • Strong understanding of hybrid infrastructure, networking, cloud platforms, lifecycle management, architecture governance, service management, and business continuity.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance modernization with legacy-system constraints, operational reliability, cybersecurity, and production requirements.
  • Experience establishing architecture standards, lifecycle roadmaps, technology rationalization, and technical-debt reduction.
  • Demonstrated experience governing and optimizing enterprise ERP environments within manufacturing, industrial, or similarly complex operating environments.
  • Experience leading or materially contributing to ERP implementations, upgrades, integrations, consolidations, or major transformation programs.
  • Strong understanding of ERP-enabled business processes across manufacturing, supply chain, planning, inventory, procurement, finance, and operational reporting.
  • Proven ability to drive business-process ownership, adoption, master-data discipline, integration governance, and measurable value realization from enterprise applications.
  • Proven experience leading significant technology modernization, organizational change, or digital transformation initiatives with measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience evaluating and operationalizing AI, automation, analytics, or other emerging technologies within an appropriate governance and risk framework.
  • Demonstrated ability to build business cases, define success measures, manage change, and sustain adoption after implementation.
  • Exceptional executive communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts, cybersecurity risk, architecture decisions, and investment tradeoffs into clear business language.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders across operations, supply chain, finance, engineering, human resources, and other business functions without relying on direct authority.
  • Strong financial and commercial judgment, including technology investment prioritization, vendor negotiations, cost/value tradeoffs, and benefits realization.
  • Proven ability to build high-performing leadership teams, create accountability, develop succession pipelines, and lead effectively through ambiguity, disruption, and organizational change.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
  • Experience operating in a complex manufacturing, industrial, or similarly operationally intensive environment strongly preferred.
  • Experience addressing cybersecurity in manufacturing or operational-technology environments strongly preferred.
  • CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CCSP, or comparable advanced cybersecurity credential strongly preferred.
  • Epicor ERP experience preferred but not required.
  • Experience with acquisition due diligence, post-acquisition technology integration, platform consolidation, or multi-business-unit standardization strongly preferred.

  • Establish and execute a clear three- to five-year enterprise IT strategy and investment roadmap aligned with business growth, operational priorities, risk appetite, and the broader Information Services strategy.

  • Materially strengthen enterprise cybersecurity, identity, resilience, recovery, and incident-readiness capabilities while communicating technology risk effectively to executive leadership and governance bodies.
  • Modernize and simplify enterprise architecture across infrastructure, cloud, identity, applications, integrations, and manufacturing technology while reducing technical debt and unnecessary variation across locations.
  • Maximize the business value of the company’s ERP and enterprise application investments through process standardization, platform governance, adoption, integration, and continuous improvement.
  • Build leadership depth, succession capability, and a culture of accountability, service excellence, business partnership, and continuous improvement within the IT organization.
  • Define, maintain, and execute the enterprise IT strategy and multi-year technology roadmap, ensuring direct alignment with company strategy, growth priorities, operational requirements, and enterprise risk.

  • Direct cyber incident response and crisis management, including coordination with executive leadership, legal counsel, cyber insurance, external incident-response partners, business-continuity leaders, and recovery teams.
  • Ensure recovery capabilities are demonstrably resilient through regular restoration testing, tabletop exercises, technical exercises, and validation of critical business-system dependencies.
  • Provide executive and governance-level reporting on cyber-risk posture, material exposures, control effectiveness, incident readiness, and remediation progress.
  • Establish enterprise architecture principles and standards across identity, networks, cloud, servers, endpoints, collaboration platforms, integrations, security architecture, and manufacturing technology.
  • Lead modernization of the Microsoft technology environment, including Azure, Microsoft 365, identity, authentication, endpoint management, security architecture, and hybrid infrastructure.
  • Develop lifecycle and technical-debt strategies that reduce unsupported technology, simplify the environment, improve resilience, and enable scalable growth.
  • Strengthen segmentation, privileged administration, vendor access, observability, backup architecture, and other foundational controls that reduce enterprise blast radius and improve recoverability.
  • Ensure architecture and change decisions account for plant-floor dependencies, legacy manufacturing technology, uptime requirements, and safe implementation sequencing.
  • Provide strategic leadership for the enterprise applications portfolio, with particular accountability for the stability, performance, governance, and evolution of the company’s ERP environment.
  • Treat ERP as an enterprise business platform rather than an IT application, partnering with operations, supply chain, finance, and other functional leaders to improve process performance, data quality, decision-making, and standardization.
  • Develop and execute an ERP and enterprise-applications roadmap that addresses optimization, integrations, upgrades, technical debt, platform consolidation, acquisition integration, and long-term architecture.
  • Drive value realization through measurable business outcomes, disciplined process ownership, adoption, super-user capability, master-data governance, training, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain platform-agnostic strategic leadership while ensuring the company realizes maximum value from Epicor as its current enterprise ERP platform.
  • Establish strong governance over system configuration, integrations, releases, change control, access, testing, and production support for mission-critical enterprise applications.
  • Partner closely with Etnyre Digital Solutions and business leaders to enable responsible adoption of artificial intelligence, automation, advanced analytics, and other emerging technologies.
  • Ensure digital initiatives are supported by secure identity, appropriate data access, scalable integration, reliable infrastructure, sound architecture, and effective technology governance.
  • Help define enterprise guardrails for AI and emerging technologies, including security, privacy, data governance, access, vendor risk, logging, human oversight, and responsible use.
  • Support the transition of successful pilots into sustainable enterprise capabilities by ensuring operational ownership, supportability, integration, change management, and measurable value realization.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify workflows, reduce manual effort, improve decision-making, and create operating leverage through technology.
  • Establish and enforce enterprise IT policies, architecture standards, technology controls, and governance practices across business units and locations.
  • Own IT financial planning, budget discipline, investment governance, and technology cost transparency, ensuring resources are aligned with enterprise priorities and measurable outcomes.

  • Develop sourcing and partner strategies that deliberately balance internal capability, managed services, specialized expertise, cost, resilience, and speed.
  • Partner with plant, operations, engineering, supply chain, and business leadership to ensure technology supports production continuity, operational performance, and growth.
  • Provide governance and strategic direction for plant connectivity, manufacturing/operational technology interfaces, vendor-connected equipment, and the cybersecurity considerations associated with IT/OT convergence.
  • Establish repeatable technology due-diligence and integration practices for acquisitions, including identity, cybersecurity, connectivity, applications, ERP, data, vendors, contracts, business continuity, and local IT capability.
  • Drive appropriate standardization and consolidation across locations while preserving critical operational requirements and sequencing change to minimize production risk.
  • Lead through subordinate managers and technical leaders, setting clear expectations for ownership, cross-functional collaboration, executive communication, talent development, and service outcomes.
  • Recruit, develop, retain, and succession-plan high-performing IT professionals while building leadership depth and reducing key-person dependency.
  • Establish career pathways, technical and leadership development plans, cross-training, documentation, and knowledge-transfer disciplines.
  • Build a culture in which leaders surface risk early, make clear recommendations, challenge constructively, learn from failures, and remain accountable for enterprise outcomes rather than functional activity.
  • Develop business acumen throughout the IT organization so technology leaders understand manufacturing operations, financial impact, customer commitments, and enterprise priorities.
