The Mayor’s Office for International Affairs connects New York City to the world by building partnerships with the international community, including the United Nations, foreign governments, consulates, trade missions, and global city networks. The Office advances the City’s priorities through international cooperation and city diplomacy, strengthening relationships between international partners, City agencies, and local communities. Through diplomatic engagement and global partnerships, the Office works to elevate the voices and diversity of New Yorkers while ensuring that global cooperation delivers tangible benefits for working people across the five boroughs. The Senior Director of Global Partnerships develops strategic partnerships and special initiatives with international organizations, civil society, academic institutions, and municipal partners to advance mayoral priorities through global cooperation. The Director leads flagship initiatives, including long-term partnership models that promote knowledge exchange, community resilience, and international collaboration while delivering tangible benefits for New Yorkers and partner communities. The role also serves as the office's lead liaison for an assigned geographic region.
