About The Position

The Senior Director of Business Operations-OB/GYN functions as a senior business operations leader for all markets for OB/GYN services across Sentara Medical Group. This role directs and oversees the efficient and effective operations of practice locations across multiple markets and supervises Directors. The position is responsible for the overall business operations of all assigned practices, as well as activities that relate to the future growth and business strategy for OB/GYN services. The role aligns operational strategy with health plan and system needs, while ensuring the highest standards of healthcare delivery, outcomes, and constant patient focus. It involves developing operational support strategies to address productivity, operational performance, staff retention, and patient satisfaction, and ensuring appropriate prioritization and resource management to fulfill strategic objectives specific to specialty and market needs. The role requires strong communication, presentation, and listening skills to ensure region-wide collaboration and coordination, especially concerning physicians, employees, and the community. It also involves establishing positive employee relations and trust through communication, education, consistency, and dependability, and emerging as a leader in key initiatives and strategies to continually improve the quality and level of services provided. The role evaluates the impact of practices on quality, experience, and total cost of care.

Requirements

  • Master’s Level or Doctorate Degree required in Healthcare related field
