About The Position

The Senior Director, Global Market Research owns market research for a global platform and serves as the primary business partner to its global marketing teams. Reporting to the Associate Vice President (AVP) – Immunology Strategic Intelligence, this role works in a matrixed model with the US Marketing Analytics lead, centralized Research Science, and broader analytics and AI/data-foundation teams. It owns platform-level research planning and delivery, helps allocate people, time, and research spend within the therapeutic area’s overall budget, and coaches market-research associates. The role combines external vendors, centralized capabilities, and AI tools, applying human judgment to research framing, quality, interpretation, and decisions. The position is based at Lilly’s Corporate Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates. Travel is 10–25%, depending on business need.

  • Coach business partners on framing questions that market research is best positioned to answer.
  • Use external vendors, centralized Research Science capabilities, and AI tools in appropriate combinations while retaining framing, judgment, and interpretation within the platform team and relying on centrally maintained standards and vendor governance.
