About The Position

Salesforce is seeking a technically adept Agent Builder Leader to join its Forward Deployed Engineering Team. The role leads a high-performing team of Agent Builder experts delivering agentic solutions directly with customers. It provides strategic and technical leadership, fosters innovation and continuous improvement, and defines the standards and operating model for agentic AI capabilities. As a member of the Agentforce leadership team, the role influences the product roadmap for agentic adoption across Salesforce customers. The leader defines strategies and architectures for enterprise agentic AI deployments, oversees the Agentic Development Life Cycle (ADLC), and ensures solutions meet customer needs and scale reliably in production. The position also evangelizes Salesforce’s agentic architecture, builds an effective delivery organization, collaborates with Product, Engineering, and Sales leadership, and stewards data privacy, compliance, and responsible AI practices. Travel to customer sites may be required up to 30% of the time.

Requirements

10+ years of experience building and scaling enterprise-grade applications or enterprise AI systems, including 5+ years in leadership roles overseeing technical teams.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with a proven ability to influence and engage executive stakeholders on complex technical roadmaps with technical and non-technical teams.
Expertise in AI implementations, including RAG, vector databases, search indexes, and knowledge bases, particularly for grounding Agentforce solutions with enterprise data.
Expert-level knowledge of distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and asynchronous processing principles.
Current, comprehensive knowledge of the LLM landscape, including specifications, capabilities, use cases for major foundational and frontier models relevant to enterprise AI deployment, and the tooling ecosystem.
Deep understanding of AI agents in enterprise ecosystems, including multi-agent orchestration, data-driven decisioning, and autonomous action design.
Ability to think strategically while remaining technically credible with Product, Engineering, and Architecture teams.

Nice To Haves

Experience architecting data or integration solutions using MuleSoft, Einstein GenAI Agentforce, or a similar platform.
Industry thought leadership in the convergence of AI and enterprise integrations.
Prior experience leading multidisciplinary teams in fast-scaling or global enterprise environments.
Track record of production-ready deployments in secure, regulated enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

Define the long-term strategy for Agentic AI deployments across industries.
Establish best practices and reference architectures for Model Context Protocol (MCP), inter-agent communication, and AI orchestration in multi-agent systems.
Standardize the Agentic Development Life Cycle (ADLC) across engagements; oversee project delivery and ensure deployed agents meet customer needs and scale in enterprise production environments.
Evangelize Salesforce’s agentic architecture vision internally and with strategic customers, industry partners, and ecosystem developers.
Build a high-performing team that delivers enterprise-ready, production-grade agentic systems.
Partner with Product, Engineering, and Sales leadership to shape the strategy and execution of Agentic AI solutions.
Oversee data privacy and compliance policies and partner with security and legal teams to enforce responsible AI practices globally.
Travel to customer sites as needed, up to 30% of the time.
