Reporting to the Associate Vice President of Facility Management, this position oversees the day-to-day operation of the business unit-facing facility operations. Functional areas include operation and maintenance, auxiliary services, exteriors, building residential services, and fire safety operations. Responsible for helping to ensure that students, faculty, and staff have a positive facilities experience. Oversees negotiation of contracts for safety, environmental, and maintenance solutions. Oversees all operating budgets as well as maintenance, rehabilitation, and repair activity. Directly supervises a staff of six with indirect supervision of approximately 500 employees, working three shifts; some operations are scheduled 24/7. Responsible for addressing all emergency situations arising in the facilities area. Assists the Associate Vice President with projects, allocating staffing levels, and organizational structure to meet changing conditions. Interacts with internal and external customers and makes presentations to departments and campus constituents on related topics. Represents Campus Services on university committees. Performs other related responsibilities as required.
